We’re asking visitors to write and leave love letters to Wellington in the Te Upoko o te Ika a Māui exhibition at the Museum of Wellington City & Sea. The exhibition features people's stories and passion about the greater Wellington region. One letter per day is selected to add to this blog. We welcome and encourage conversation and feedback to each letter.

Covering the whole region
My husband, children and I have come 'full-circle'! We met, got married, and raised our 2 youngest in Porirua, then Plimmerton, before moving over to the Wairarapa, having lived there for almost 15 years before moving back to Wellington in January this year (2013). Our 2 youngest are now adults and we are happy to be back! Wellington is awesome.

Antinatal and the storm
The Wellington storm hit, and the two of us, soon to be the three of us were at an antinatal class in Porirua. The wind blew and the room shook and still we listened... We did think that hopefully Matilda won't arrive tonight...
