Bad ham


This one time I found 1 giant piece of ham in my steak and cheese pie at Mr Bun. It was my first time there. I was unimpressed. I've never gone back.

Childhood discovery


Once when I was 5 or 6 I was in the garden at my house in Eastbourne with my mum. She was teaching me to plant bulbs and I would dig a hole and she would plant the bulb. I dug and pulled out a large interesting shaped rock. Mum called a museum in Wellington and discovered it was a Māori artifact. After that I dug a lot of holes - I found a toy car, marbles and a comb.

A heavy sofa-bed


I once moved a sofa-bed to a Wellington flat. There were so many steps to get to the house and the bed was so heavy, that I have vowed never to own a sofa-bed in Wellington again!
